Hey lovelies!
Today I want to show you a new essence polish called "Prom-Berry". It will be part of the permanent range, at least for now. I'm sure everyone is familiar with the bi-annual changes.
essence Prom-Berry can be described as a warm-toned dark purple with blue and red shimmer. The formula is good and dries quickly. However, I got some tiny bubbles on my nails - those are not bubbles from rushing the application process or not waiting long enough for the first coat to dry.*
*I often get these bubbles no matter which essence Colour & Go polish I use. I can only attribute them to how the bottle neck and the brush were designed. In general I find both the brush and the brush handle a smidgen too wide to comfortably fit into the bottle neck. I often get a hanger and the brush hair sprays. Which results in tiny air pockets inside the brush that get covered in lacquer and directly transfer onto the nail as air bubbles. These bubbles are already in existence when I apply the lacquer and don't occur when the polish dries.
In my experience 2 things can eliminate those tiny bubbles. (1) When I get a hanger (with the brush on the bottle neck) I dip the brush, remove excess on the bottle neck, dip again, remove excess again and then apply the lacquer. Setting the brush hair straight again, so to speak. (2) When there are already bubbles on the nail and the lacquer is still wet I go over the spot again and again to "wipe" the bubble off the nail.
Chester :)
Such a lovely vampy shade.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely and quite dark so I guess that makes it a vampy :)
DeleteI didn't get any bubbles, but I got a whole lotta tipwear practically over night. Very disappointing.
ReplyDeleteOoh, that's not nice! How dare it? :)
